Peppermint Cafe

It is a calm place in Colombo. The atmosphere is unexpectedly amazing, and the staff is friendly. However, the long wait for food was the major concern.

I recently visited Peppermint Cafe and it was a delightful experience! Their delicious food and cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit place in Colombo. Special mention to Supun and shane who provided excellent service throughout our visit. He was attentive, friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. It is refreshing to see such dedication to customer satisfaction. I would recommend Peppermint Cafe to anyone looking for great food, a relaxing atmosphere and excellent service!

Popped into Peppermint Cafe after ages, was here before the refurbishment and the food was fantastic then and the service impeccable, this time around the atmosphere was relaxing and lovely but nothing else seemed to work. The staff were confused with what was available and what was not, first they said what we wanted was not available as they had no bread, pulled beef rice or pasta! Then after going with some other choices and going back to our seats another staff member came in and said they could give us the beef dish. The drinks came after about 20 minutes, the first meal came 10 -15 minutes after the drinks, the second meal came maybe 20 minutes after the first meal, and the final meal came almost 30 minutes later after we went and asked for it! The prices are high, presentation of food was good but tastes subpar, as is the service, all in all not an experience you would want to repeat. On the plus side the milkshake was good.
