via GoogleChinhua Tea Shop is located at No. 121, Nantai Rd, Sinsing District Kaohsiung City, 800 This is an absolutely wonderful place, with character and history. The staff, descendants of the original planters in the early 1940s will help you with every oolong you can dream of at all price points and qualities. Be ready for terrific tea samples/tastings, amazing quality, and from what I found, the best price in Kaohsiung. I went to three tea shops in Kaohsiung, and this was by far the best. One overcharged and the other did not have the same selection. The was my favorite, not just because they were the most kind (they were), the most honest (they were), the most patient (they were) and the most friendly (they were), but because they were passionate about their farm that grew the tea they were selling DIRECT to you, and to be honest, the other tea shops were middle-men with the same products at slightly higher prices. The wonderful ladies took significant time and effort to teach an english speaker (who loves tea) how to prepare Taiwan teas properly and even after done purchasing we stayed and sampled some more (which I did end up buying - who wouldn't) but that wasn't their goal, it was to share their passion. The main difference to me was the unmatched level of knowledge and hospitality. ZERO pushy sales pitches, just a family proud of their tradition, product, and desire to share. If you are looking for special and in my view the best teas in the world from Ooolong to Black this is the place. I HIGHLY recommend the fermented tea. WOW. Absolutely unbelievable, and this family knows it. They don't have to convince you and they are honest on the why and how the teas taste.....unlike another store in town. My only regret is that I didn't go there first. The team was also kind enough to teach me about proper storage and care along with the details of preparation, NOBODY else did that. They truly want you to enjoy tea. Do yourself a massive favor as a westerner. Take an hour (or two), sit down, and walk through the greatest tea producing nation on the planet and walk away with some incredible gifts for yourself and family. THE ABSOLUTE BEST THING I DID IN TAIWAN! 謝謝

via GoogleA quiet and unassuming spot, yet as your steps lead into its interior, you shall realize that you are amidst tea legacy!! The octagenerians that run this gem of a place, have a century odd experience between them dealing with the best Tea in Taiwan. Especially Oolong! A mecca for conneseurs of Tai Cha, Oolong tea and the Heritage attached to it.

via GoogleStopped by Chinhua Tea shop this evening for oolong tea after reading many of the previous reviews. The owners took great care to welcome us and share their knowledge while giving us a tea tasting. I would highly recommend stopping by to support the shop if you're in the area!

via GoogleLovely little tea shop with great oolong teas. Very friendly and helpful staff that allowed us to sample a number of teas before buying. Had a very pleasant time here and would strongly recommend this place to anyone who’s interested in Taiwanese tea.
