The branding and mission here are excellent. The menu highlights specific farmers (like Yongyuth and Ader) and details the processing methods, which adds a nice personal connection to the coffee. The shop itself is warm and inviting, with lots of wood and brick. I tried their "Ader Geisha" and a standard drip. While it's great to see Thai single-origins being elevated, the flavor profile in the cup was straightforward rather than complex. It’s a good stop if you want to support local agriculture and buy some beans to take home, but the drink experience was fairly standard.

One of the the highest quality coffee place in Chiang Mai. We tried the dirty coffee and it was rich and creamy and not acidic, which we like. The interior of the place is very beautiful wood finishes with 2 storeys level. The seating took into consideration multiple seating groups of singles, doubles and families. They have a 2nd storey balcony view and a private garden seating at the back. A very nice and relaxing way to spend a quiet afternoon feeling like you're in a Japanese home enjoying their great coffee.

Excellent coffee. You have a wide selection of grains to smell & choose from, for drinking there or buying & brewing at home. I love that they show you the farmers providing the beans & so much detail about the flavor profile. The staff are knowledgable & gladly discuss with you. Plus they show you how each farmer benefits from each cup. 10/10 for that. The cafe itself is not the most esthetic but it’s quiet & cool, which is good enough. They provide free water too ☺️

The coffee was good, and the interior was tidy and cozy. However, please stop greeting Asian customers with “Ni hao.” I visited twice. The first time, I wasn’t sure if I had heard it correctly, but when it happened again on my second visit, I realized it wasn’t a coincidence. Not everyone who looks Asian is Chinese, and it’s not appropriate to make assumptions based on appearance.

If you’re wandering around Chiang Mai looking for a caffeine epiphany, Akha Ama Coffee is exactly where you need to drop your baht. Let’s talk about the undisputed star of the show: the Dirty Latte. At a glorious 100 baht, it shines bright and mighty! I’ll confess, it’s my runner-up favorite in the city (Twenty Mar’s still holds the crown at 150 baht, but they bribe me with double the volume and a cheeky side of two chestnuts—hard to beat). Still, Akha Ama's dirty latte is an absolute powerhouse of flavor that demands respect. Then there’s the wild card: the Orange Juice with Coffee. I know, it sounds like an accidental morning spill, but it is a surprisingly good combination! It’s the citrusy, caffeinated plot twist my tastebuds didn't know they needed. Fair warning: the space is tiny, and snagging a seat can feel like a competitive sport. My go-to cozy nook is at the backmost area just past the restroom, which is great, but comes with a caveat. You will absolutely hear the constant chit-chat of the staff (they always seem to have a surplus of them hovering around) paired with the unmistakable acoustic stylings of a random customer peeing in the restroom. If you prefer your espresso without a side of gossip and bathroom sound effects, make a break for the second floor. If you’re lucky and the place isn't packed to the brim, you can score some solemn, glorious quiet up there to sip in absolute peace.
