Peaceful view on the Mekong from the terrace across the road. The cafe has also a nice terrace in their garden. The place is very clean and the staff were kind and helpful. The cafe has also a photo gallery upstairs and if it is in your budget you can purchase some of them. Haven’t tried the food because kitchen is closed in the morning but great place for good coffee

We discovered this café-restaurant with a great Google rating not far from our hotel, and our spontaneous decision to give it a try turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The highlight was definitely their vegetable noodle soup – a must-try. It’s made with all-natural, unprocessed ingredients, and the broth is rich and savoury without being overly salty or loaded with MSG. Their chicken burger was another winner – tasty, generously portioned with a good amount of chicken, and served with fries that weren’t greasy at all. KH Guide & Rating Accessibility: 4/5 – Easily noticeable from the roadside, but parking is limited due to the narrow road. Cleanliness: 3.5/5 Ambience: 4/5 – Cozy setting with Laos charming nature-inspired theme. Despite the lack of air conditioning, you can tell the owner put a lot of effort into the decor. 5 star is possible if AC is available. Food Quality: 4.5/5 Pricing: Reasonable for the area. Attentiveness: 4.5/5 – Staff were responsive and friendly. Would we visit again? Definitely, yes. Strongly recommended.

OMG the most delicious lunch just occurred at the Big Tree Cafe & Gallery in Luang Prabang, Laos! Was on my way to another AI suggests cafe and mooched by here and my jaw fell open at its wonderfulness! (And if that isn’t a word then is should be or it is now anyway ) The most beautiful arty cafe with schtunning food - I just had the Korean set menu - Bu Dea Kim chi soup set! Mind blowingly good (and I don’t normally like tofu either ) So very beautiful here! Even got a screening room for short films, chess set, gallery, library! Basically I’m in Joshie heaven of and an amazing view over the swollen Mekong too! Perfect spot any day but especially on the edge of a typhoon with lots of rain and flooding! No windy bits here though @bigtreecafe&gallery @BigTreeGallery #BigTreeCafe #cafe #restaurant #delicious #food #koreanfood #koreanfoodlovers #laos #luangprabang #yummyfood #instafood #instafood #travellingfoodie #followingthewhispers

We didn’t eat here but were lured by the Gin and Tonic menu & location. Went twice and only reason it wasn’t 3 times was they were closed on our last night. Great vibe, great G & T’s, friendly service and fabulous local photography in the gallery upstairs (available to purchase). Highly recommended
