Stopped in for a coffee while exploring Paris, we found Bonjour Jacob on European Coffee Trip and I'm sorry to say it was my first miss when using the app. The menu was very limited, only coffees and some cookies but I believe they have pastries available earlier, they'd just run out when we visited (not unreasonable gone 11am). There is no decaf option. The coffee had a great flavour, they clearly use high quality beans. The decor is eclectic, but well executed, I didn't want to read the magazines on the far wall but it made for an excellent look. We ordered two flat whites, when I went to pick mine up it immediately spilled out of the cup and all over me. Despite the top of the drink looking ok, it was masking that the milk beneath had zero texture and the cup had been overfilled. While a proper flat white would have been ok, this coffee was not and I had to leave the coffee shop looking like I'd wet myself! I'd usually try to be self-effacing about this sort of thing, but in the hundreds or thousands of flat whites I must have had, I have never experienced this when picking one up before. The texture of the other drink was ok, if not outstanding. This suggests the barista may not have known how to prepare two flat whites simultaneously which is a bit concerning for a place that essentially only sells coffee, but I am speculating. The milk also tasted like it wasn't whole milk, which is odd given the reputation of the place, but I could have been wrong.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for such a long time, and I can clearly say it didn’t disappoint. The coffee was very good, the vibes are super cozy and nice, so I will definitely be back.

Nice coffee shop near our hotel. Very cozy environment and a great spot for a cappucino. Very strong flavour and well balanced as expected in Paris
