Chikusa cafe

Before the pandemic I visited this coffee shop regularly. I'm delighted to report it is unchanged and just as laid back as before. In the early morning it seems to be popular with local mountain guides, many clearly regulars. Tight seating makes for an intimate and unpretentious atmosphere. As long as I can continue visiting KTM I'll be returning here. Love it.

Very good coffee! Friendly staff, looks like real Nepali, not so touristic place (only 2 tourists among Nepalis sipping coffee). Recommended!

The sandwiches, the pancakes and other breakfast options are a must try here and the taste of all of these items have remained constant since many years now. It’s a nice small place and it would be better if they didn’t have any smoking zone as the biggest room in the cafe is filled with smoke and non smokers have very limited seats to sit in outside this room.

Chikusa is a classic morning cafe that serves tea, coffee and other breakfast menu. The way food is prepared is also classic. If you don’t mind waiting, not rushing and want to have a perfect classic breakfast, this is for you. I can see they are trying their best to serve asap to their customer .
