Good to have a fresh cup of coffee and you can have a look at their luwak cats (3 in cages). In you dont want to support this, dont go there. Also you get free black tee. Not much more to do there

The animals are locked in cages barely larger than themselves, and stacked one on top of the other. The owner told us it was for the preservation of the species, but it's only for business (500 000 kips for a pack of coffee). A heartbreaking experience.

We were looking for a coffee plantation near Paksong and we stumbled upon the Coffee & Tea garden of mr. Phet. He warmly welcomed us inside and offered us some tea. He was eagerly waiting for us to finish our tea so he could show us arround. He started with showing us his Indonesian Civets (the kind that eat coffea beans and special coffie is made from their feaces, called Kopi Luwak). He then showed us his coffee and tea plantation. It was wonderful experience to be at his home together wis he children: miss Tea and mr. Coffee. You can also buy some tea and coffee from him.

Warning!!! Be aware that behind this funny experience of kopi luwak lies a grim reality that is far less funny. The owner offers an original coffee made from the cevet’s pooh. He justifies his approach by invoking the preservation of the species. Can we really speak about well-fare when an animal is kept in a small cage where it paces back and forth continuously ? The animals used for this coffee are not only cevet but binturong. They do the same job but you cannot call the coffee cevet made when it’s actually made from binturong.
