DE MONG SAPA

A very nice place to stay, away from all other tourists in the city. If you want peace and quiet with cozy rooms and wonderful views, this is the place for you. Every corner is worthy of a photograph. Food is great. Service is excellent. The host, Anh and his team are very pleasant and helpful. They have a friendly akita inu and a cute cat.

I stayed at the homestay, not just as a visitor to the coffee shop, and I think that’s the best way to fully enjoy this place. We had the much needed quietness for a getaway, especially before the coffee shop opened and after it closed. I truly appreciated that the owner was strict about keeping the place private for residents, even turning away a few early visitors. Getting there was easy. Our room had two large windows offering a great view of the crop fields, and I liked that it was spacious. The hosts were caring and accommodating, and Pam and Happy were friendly and adorable. The food we had for breakfast, lunch and dinner was also good. We were well taken care of, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I’d recommend De Mong to anyone, and I suggest booking early, especially during harvest season as it can get quite crowded.

This place is exceptional! We stayed at De Mong Homestay for 3 nights in the last week of Nov 2024 and we can't say enough nice things about this place. The food is clean and tasty (for breakfast they make the best fluffy egg omelette banh mi with soy sauce ... it's so basic but they get all the elements right!... I ate two the first time I tried it!). My friend was also vegetarian and loved the food here. Yen our host went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. When it was cold and misty, she arranged cultural activities for us and when the sun was shining (at the last minute) she re-arranged our tour so we could do both Fansipan and the herbal trekking tour in one day. I highly recommend this trekking tour with a herbal bath at the end. We did two herbal baths in Sapa and this one was by far the best! I would happily stay here again for the food, location and thoughtful and kind service! Thank you Yen and the staff for taking care of us!
