I am addicted to matcha latte and went to a trendy place (The Matcha Tokyo) where it was super expensive and not different from what we can get in the US. The owners here were so helpful and explained (via Translate) which grades are used for what. She discouraged me from buying the expensive highest ceremonial grade and she was right. I bought their lowest grade for lattes and mid grade for ocha / hot green tea and both are fantastic! I am tempted to buy the higher grade just to see how much better it gets! Get the bamboo whisk if you don’t have one, it makes a difference.

I searched online good places to buy matcha green tea powder. Someone recommend this store, so I went to Akasaka specially for visiting it. It was a pleasure to confirm that the store is really good and the staff is super friendly and attentive! In addition I found a wonderful tea storage for my mother in law! So, if you want to have a great green tea experience you must visit them! Thank you!
