via GoogleSmall coffee shop just near the Humboldthain SBahn. Cute little coffee shop but it left me with the feeling of "Corona blues" not seeing the place with your average coffee shop scene. Nobody working on a laptop, or chatting outside the store. Nevertheless this quaint little streetside coffee stop is a worth visiting. With a few varieties to choose from, you can select the roast of your choice for them to brew your cup of coffee. I went with the Finch, an Ethiopian variant with notes of floral and slight tastes of sweets. The cup and the coffee size was a bit small for a cortado, the type of coffee I ordered for the day, but nevertheless it was satisfying leaving me joville and in a good mood. The barista was kind and in good spirits even with the current lockdown situation here in Berlin. She gave me a quick explanation of the roasts on display that day, and explained what my options were, helping to make my decision. Apparently this coffee shop has taking the Amazon approach and launched their own subscription model, a bit funny, but also shows the type of business they're trying to run. The random Joe outside waiting for his chance to step into the shop to get his order mentioned he was already a subscriber to this coffee shop. You can pick up monthly or weekly roasts to take home to brew your own. Definitely would go back for another cup.

via GoogleThe best coffee I bought in the city so far. Great taste and aroma. Also, the barista gave me a complete explanation about the different types of beans, which was very helpful.

via GoogleI was just killing time as I had arrived too early for an appointment in the surroundings of Flying roasters. I had the idea to sit down and grab a little something to eat or drink, but I'd never imagined I would accidentally find the coziest and most lovely coffee in town! I'm very knowledgeable about coffee and I do have my favorite places around, and Flying roasters is certainly one of my favorites now! I'm really surprised with the taste of my Americano brewed with their chocolatey blend called Nightingale. The barista was lovely and helpful, the place has amazing music, the indoors have rustic furniture which enhances its coziness, you can also sit outside in a large area of the sidewalks. I totally recommend Flying roasters, I'll come back many more times!
