📃 About

A small vintage cafe and roastery tucked inside Ttukdo Market in Seongsu: an old signboard, a wooden counter and a noren curtain carrying the name Gongbaeg (blank). Coffee is roasted in house and served at the counter, and the room keeps the market's rough, lived-in character.

A cafe located inside Ttukdo Market. There is also a branch in Jayang-dong, but that one feels a bit like a second branch. Equipped with an Eagle One machine, PK100, and Super Jolly grinder. Even an Irish Marco water heater—truly high-quality equipment. A combination of JBL 4304 speakers and a Sansui integrated amplifier. A setup consisting of an American Tivoli radio receiver and a Wii Ultra amplifier. A vocal-free jazz playlist fills the space with music. The 4,000 won espresso is made from a single-origin Brazilian bean. They even provide brown sugar, similar to Demerara, separately. They serve iced water in a Stussy collaboration glass—isn't it a Toyo Sasaki cup? The England Stoke-on-Trent demitasse cup is also a Paul Smith limited edition product. The owner has incredible taste. An espresso without burnt, smoky, or bitter notes; if you didn't know the origin, you might mistake it for El Salvador. When sugar is added, the sweet and sour fruity flavor is reminiscent of Aida Bartle Coffee. With naturally friendly service, despite being inside a traditional market, there are many visitors. There are many. They are cheap, delicious, and cool, so it’s hard not to look for them.
