The gift that just keeps giving. This place is magical! Used as an open art space, film venue, market, community space, workshops, activism, music etc. free toilets, lots of vendors and cafes, beautiful craft stalls at the weekends, second hand clothes, vintage stuff. Perfect place to just chill out and wander. We love it and keep coming back from across the world. It's well maintained and decorated. Make sure you explore every corner - there are hidden rooms that are exhibition spaces in places you don't expect.

If you are in Penang on the weekend, this a MUST visit place. This place has a lot of personality, art and everything’s creative l - including food. Some people might say they are over priced but I personally think they are of good quality. All the seller here are like artists. They have live music with the band a they are so good too. I’ve got a bunch of stuff like customized note book, key rings, ID card holder etc. one could spend the whole day here if time is a luxury.

Visited Hin Bus 🚌 Depot with my family and really loved the vibe there. The place is super chill with lots of small stalls, live singing, and plenty of food options. You can just sit down, relax, have a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere. What I really like is that you can experience many activities in one place — shopping, eating, chilling, and even enjoying some local performances. There are also many creative souvenir shops with unique designs, and most of the items are lightweight and easy for tourists to bring back. Prices are quite reasonable too. There are also many cafes and food spots around, so it’s really a nice place to spend a few hours. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Penang.

Hin Bus Depot is a really cool cultural spot in Georgetown that’s definitely worth a visit if you’re into art and creative spaces. It feels like a mix between an art hub and a community hangout. Inside, there are areas for temporary art exhibitions, so there’s usually something new to see each time. The highlight for me was the large outdoor courtyard — it has an amazing atmosphere. When I visited, there was live music and a local artisan market, which made the whole place feel vibrant and alive. The walls in the courtyard are covered with awesome graffiti, adding to the creative vibe and making it a great place to just walk around, explore, and take photos. Overall, a unique and relaxed spot that gives you a taste of Georgetown’s contemporary art scene.

A well hidden but lovely place, greeted by a stamping station at the entrance to our delight. Along w a nicely illustrated visitor guide. Artsy place w many small art stalls and a nice place to roam. We went in the afternoon, it was much quieter as most of the activities had not started, and spent 2.5 hours around the area. Likely to be more active at night or weekends!
