I was in adventurous spirit in search for coffee and discovered this place. It was a pleasant experience. Kent was kind to explain the different types of coffee brewing methods and I had my first Moka Pot coffee. Would strongly recommend to anyone who wants to get a taste of something interesting ☕️

Coffee art ..... The ambiance is simply awesome,... cosy .... Great place to unwind yourself... learn how to hand brew your own coffee, sit down n enjoy. Come to discover more about the characteristic of the coffee available. Recommended.

That Saturday morning during my usual 3-hours free time, I wanted to head to Foremula in Ara Damansara for coffee. But I noticed another coffee specialist place on the opposite row of my initial destination. Ken had just opened his cafe when we suddenly walked in. A bit surprised but still welcome us with a smile and asked us to make ourselves at home while he got everything ready. As he prepared our order - only V60 a.k.a pour over coffee available here, nothing else - I started to chat him up. He was a pharmaceutical practitioner graduated from Taiwan who came back during the pandemic and decided that brewing coffee was more of his passion. He shared half of the shop with a printing company (owned by his friend) and slowly gaining a steady clientele list. Roasting his own beans in small batches to ensure freshness in each & every cup, I also love the fact that he took out a tray containing few cups with interesting "cup art" to choose for our coffee. Feeling majestic, I took a yellow cup with dragon motives which looked like the one that Chinese emperor would use for his tea. Ken provided us with a piece of paper to write our tasting notes on our coffee at different temperatures; as well as a pie chart with Taster's Flavour Wheel - interesting! My choice of Ethiopian Sidamo Bensa Daye G1 was fruity just the way I liked it, while her Guatemalan Hue-Hue Tenango SHB had this cherry and chocolate flavour that was enhanced further with a piece of cranberry cookie. Notes: 1) no food is available. Only coffee. 2) only V60 (pour over) coffee will be served. I asked on whether he serves milk-based coffee and that was when he pointed me to his other venture nearby. This will be the next post.

I hardly comment on google review, unless they are the great ones! This place is definitely a hidden gem of Ara Damansara, and they serve variety of good coffee, where I can have my peace of mind in this coffee house after a hectic day!

Easy roadside parking on the weekend. Roaster on one end, modern printing press on the other. Very down-to-earth, hand-on feeling when you get here. My son and i were warmly welcomed. As we were new to the drip coffee scene, the young barrista enquired my taste and offered to smell two types of beans - a more nutty brazilian roast and a more fruity ethopian. Both medium light roasted. He suggested we try it Italian brewed in a moka pot and proceeded to demonstrate. By weighing, grinding, punching and setting up the coffeepot. Then boiling water and bunsen burning the pot to drip, collect it. He let me sample some and proceeded to tah pow the remaining. I had a hard stop to ferry my son for his class. It was the most wonderful 15mins i had watching the coffee making process - i wish i had more time to sit down to learn and experience more. One of a kind coffee place - highly recommended. Just wish they had some cold milk in their fridge to make dirty lattes!
