Growing up in a traditional Hainanese family, my standards for classic kopitiam fare are exceptionally high—it is practically in my blood. Stepping into Kée Corner at Paramount Garden, a modern, air-conditioned two-level concept by the Thong Kee family, I was curious to see if the soul of the food would survive the trendy upgrade. I am happy to report that it does so beautifully, masterfully balancing a contemporary cafe aesthetic with deeply authentic local flavors. A prime example of this execution is their signature prawn mee, as captured in image.png. The broth is a masterclass in flavor—rich, robust, and packed with that deep, savory shrimp umami that tastes like it has been simmering for hours, beautifully complemented by fresh, plump prawns and a garnish of fresh herbs. For those leaning toward their "boldly western" fusion menu, the massive sando featured in image_2.png is an absolute must-order. Thick slices of perfectly toasted bread hold a beautifully seasoned meat patty, a crispy golden hashbrown, fresh greens, and a flawless, jammy soft-boiled egg, all flanked by a generous side of fries. Yet, as a purist, my favorite moment was seeing that they haven't abandoned the fundamentals. The traditional half-boiled egg shown in image_3.png is served in a nostalgic, vintage-style floral kopitiam cup, bringing a beautiful touch of old-school heritage to the table. To wash it all down, the iced signature beverage in image_4.png is a stellar finish. Boasting a thick, frothy head and a playful "100% OKEENESS" tagline on the cup, the drink is intensely aromatic, rich, and carries that perfect, bold local kick without being overly sweet. Kée Corner successfully elevates the classic Malaysian breakfast into a sleek, vibrant neighborhood hangout while keeping its culinary soul completely intact.

Second visit to Kee Corner and it was just as enjoyable as the first. Tried some of their new dinner items this time and enjoyed most of them. The Sambal Tuna Pizza was a pleasant surprise, and the fried chicken wings were probably my favourite dish of the night. Their signature Ban Mee and Fried Prawn Mee are still solid choices, and the pandan chiffon cake made a nice ending to the meal. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

Dropped by Kee Corner Cafe at Paramount Garden and really enjoyed the experience. This cosy neighbourhood café does local flavours very well. Their signature dry and soupy Malaysian noodles are comforting and full of flavour — you can tell they put effort into the broth and seasoning, and the dry version is nicely balanced without being too heavy. The desserts were a pleasant surprise. The signature gelato is smooth and not overly sweet, perfect as a light finish after the noodles. I also tried their pandan sponge cake, which was soft, fragrant, and tasted homemade — simple but very satisfying. To top it off, their coffee and tea selection is well done. The coffee is aromatic and smooth, while the tea pairs nicely with the desserts. Overall, Kee Corner Cafe is a great spot for a casual meal, dessert, or just a relaxed coffee break. Definitely a place I’d come back to when craving good local noodles and quality desserts.

Visited Kee Corner during their official opening and was truly impressed! This new concept store offers an exceptionally comfortable environment — clean, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing meal. The food is amazing, especially their seafood dishes which are incredibly fresh and full of flavour. The menu features a great variety of local favourites, all prepared with authentic taste and generous portions. Not only that — Kee Corner proudly holds the title of “Most Signature ‘1+1’ Hainan Coffee-Tea Mix Sold in ASEAN by a Directly Owned Kopitiam Chain.” Their iconic beverage is definitely a must-try! Highly recommended for anyone who loves good local food with a modern kopitiam touch! 👍🍜🦐

Very comfortable spot serving local fare, bear in mind there can be a queue on weekends for brunch, come early and get a number (but you’ll need to have someone stand by and watch the screen for your number to show up). Gai si horfun is clearly the star of the show here, fried rice was also pretty tasty but sadly prawn noodles lacked umami. The green coffee here is a family favourite and one we’d happily return for! Parking is challenging.
