A must visit if you love tea. This is easily my favorite place in the area. The selection is great, environment is perfect, and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. You'll have a chance to try many different teas from Vietnam ranging from white tea, oolong, red/black tea, green tea, and seasonal blends. The price and quality are amazing. The teahouse is tucked away at the end of a small alley, so it is nice and quiet, but not too difficult to find. The first floor has a bar, a few tables, and a small storefront while upstairs has additional seating where you can enjoy your brew in a quieter environment.

My favourite experience in Hoi An. Susu, a lovely worker here, spent close to three hours with me tasting five different teas. The experience is authentic and each tea is ecologically sourced. They can provide pictures and details about where every tea comes from. As a first timer to Vietnam this was what I had been craving and I hope that they get busier, as they very much deserve it! Located in a quiet alley, this is a perfect escape from the bustle of Old Town. Use Google Maps to navigate and you will have no problem finding it!

Such a lovely experience! ദ്ദി(ᵔᗜᵔ) I visited on my birthday, and couldn’t have picked a more perfect experience. The whole team is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about tea, and I learned a lot! They take special care in curating a great tea environment, taking influence from Chinese and Japanese brewing methods but making a distinctly Vietnamese experience. It was really like an omakase experience for tea—they listened to us and recommended teas as we were tasting. And their recommendations were perfectly suited to our tastes! Sometimes it’s hard to believe Google Maps ratings in Hoi An, but I would genuinely give the La.Kao team more than 5/5 stars ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

We had an incredible experience at LaKao, we chose to do a 5 tea tasting, and spent the whole morning being talked through each tea - where it comes from, its flavours, etc. Each brew was made with such expertise, and the amount of knowledge and passion the staff (we were served by the super friendly Susu) have really makes the experience! We loved being able to score the teas against each other and make tasting notes, it made the experience really fun and really considering each tea individually, and the added snack pairings with each tea was such a nice bonus! We learnt so much both about tea but also about Vietnamese tea culture, this was by far one of the best things we have done in Hoi An, a real change from the fast paced tourist activities, and a chance to just slow down and enjoy some extremely high quality tea. There is a huge range of teas available, from white, red, oolong and others - and the staff can give good recommendations on which to try based on your tastes. 100% must do if you are a tea fan!

A little tricky to find since it’s tucked away in a residential area, but just follow the signs, you’ll get there! Once inside, the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The girl who helped us was incredibly sweet and took the time to recommend teas and explain where everything is sourced from (all from Vietnam 😉). They have such a wide selection of delicious teas, and I even got to try sparkling tea for the first time so good! I also tried their Vietnamese matcha, which was super creamy and smooth, not grassy at all. Such a lovely experience overall 💚🍵
