Very good coffee. Banana cake was lovely too with caramelised banana on top. Only thing is that certain parts of the place is a little warm except for the main room.

Lunabar knows coffee very well. Still one of my best coffees in Penang! Loved how quaint and quiet the place is. It is so calming and the staff is very welcoming. I almost missed out the entrance, yet it’s like entering a hidden gem in the area. Ordered an iced white, and it is perfectly balanced. So good!

Walking into Lunabar Coffee feels a bit like slipping into a quiet corner of Penang you didn’t know you needed — lush greenery everywhere, soft lighting, and an ambience that begs you to slow your pace for at least one drink. I made a beeline for their iced chocolate, and it delivers exactly what I was hoping for: cool, rich, and balanced without tipping into syrupy territory. It’s not an overly sweet dessert substitute; it’s measured, smooth, and refreshingly deep — the kind of iced chocolate you can sip slowly while plotting your next afternoon plan or just watching the world drift by. What stood out most was how the drink matches the whole vibe of the place — calm, precise, and crafted without showboating. This isn’t a flashy insta-moment menu item; it’s thoughtful, well-executed, and pairs perfectly with the minimalist, garden-like setting. Staff are friendly and there’s a genuine feeling they care about the cup in your hand — you walk out feeling that a simple iced chocolate here was genuinely worth the detour.

Come in the morning to have a quiet and calm start of the day. Their filter selections are plenty and tasty! I ordered Burundi Natural and Honduras SL28 Washed. Both are amazing! The team are also very kind and helpful. The plants and atmosphere makes it homey and cozy. A nice start of the day. The seating are limited so make sure to come early and avoid peak time. Or have a take away on busy hours is also recommended!
