Khao Soi is the king of Northern Thai food, and this place nails it—rich curry, soft noodles, and soup that smells so, so good. But let’s be honest, the real star here is the view. You’ve got a river flowing right next to you, trees everywhere, and seating options that make you feel like you’re in a jungle treehouse. Apparently, living this close to the river isn’t even allowed anymore, but the locals have been here for over 100 years—way before those rules showed up. So the government was like, “Fine, you win,” and now it’s a special case. Long story short, you’re eating top-tier Khao Soi in a place that technically shouldn’t exist. That’s what I call a rare dining experience.

Welcoming staff..great coffee, homemade cakes and khao soi...but the location , plus the notable above, is the centerpiece ...look at the photos ..Mae Kampoang is a must see ...

Somehow this place looks so romantic and mysterious to me. It looks so vibrant with nice atmosphere, open areas, and a bridge over the river for you to cross and enjoy the water. It has a bunch of plants in the cafe as well from coffee beans tree, to peach blossom. The drinks were average, not thing special. But I adore the view. It closes very soon as like other places in this village. So the night before I saw only a mysterious "Coffee" sign with a closed door and my friend insisted we go back to see the next morning.
