This is definitely one of the best coffees I have ever had. Coffee from a whisky barrel. The whisky taste was quite strong without being too dominant. There were also traces of caramel and vanilla. Delicious! Lots of young people coming and going. A few were working from here. The music was great. Jazz and some blues. Perfect atmosphere if you need to work a bit. Prices are slightly higher. But totally ok.

Coffee here was amazing that we visited twice over three days. Piccolo Backyard Picoroaster occupies a small shop, seats about 10 but I would call it a cosy place to hang out and have coffee. The barista and server were friendly and enthusiastic in sharing about the roasts they carried at the cafe. I particularly loved their PNG roast due to its non acidity and deep, layered flavours. What particularly stood out were the pretty/cute/grungy illustrations that accompanied the coffee blend descriptions as they added character to the experience. PNG wasn't available on my 2nd visit so I ordered the Chiangrai blend. It had a softer taste profile and stronger acidity - a tad too sour for me. Overall I would make it a point to pop by Piccolo Backyard Roaster whenever I am in Bangkok.

Lovely little café behind The Box 28 near Chula. Lots of coffee bean choices, and every cup tastes amazing. Friendly vibe, good price, and definitely worth coming back! ☕✨
