There is so much to say, but I just have to start with WOW! This stay on our trip has been an absolute highlight. We’re one night in & already it has made my holiday. We do have more nights but it’s really just been such an experience already! The hosts are so calm & inviting, they take so much pride in their work. The drinks are made with such carefulness and they taste so nice, we arrived early morning after a long bus ride & he let us get our head down in the mean time stating he knew it was a long trip. Just that little bit extra of care went so far. I haven’t seen one person frowning. The decor is wonderful - the rooms are even more amazing. Sitting at the balcony overlooking the fields and drinking a salted coffee with a heart on top! It’s a slice of heaven, really. They have gone above & beyond and have made our visit to Ninh Binh one of the best experiences I have ever had travelling. Watching the characters come & go - gents laughing between themselves & the host more than happily providing a 10/10 service. I could just go on, and on, and on. If you are questioning whether to come here and stay, you’d be really silly not to. There is nothing I could do to really show my gratitude for this stay - from the bottom of my heart! 💓 Thank you so, so much!

The coffee shop is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The front and rear gardens are perfect whether you want to sit and chat in the shade or just relax and listen to the birds. The owner is really passionate about birds, so there are many beautiful ones around the garden, along with some adorable baby chickens. I spent countless hours just sitting in the sun listening to birds chirping. There’s also a lovely little pond with colourful fish. The drinks here are incredibly delicious, and you can really tell the owner cares about both the coffee and the atmosphere. My favourite drink was the Ca Phe Muoi (salt coffee). I should also mention that the drinks are very affordable. Honestly, they could be priced twice as high for the quality. HOMESTAY I stayed here initially for one week when I came back to Ninh Binh, and it was such a nice experience that I ended up booking a further one-month stay. I stayed in both rooms 302 and 202 during my time here. Both are large and suitable for either short or long stays. Each room has a bathtub that’s big enough to fully stretch out and relax in, and the overall décor is very natural and calming. The beds are large and comfortable, with mosquito netting above to help block out light if you want. Both rooms have good air conditioning, and the owner is happy to provide a fan as well if you’d prefer one. There’s no TV in the rooms, which I actually think is a good thing. It helps preserve the peaceful, nature-focused vibe. Each room has a desk, and there are also a couple of tables in the coffee shop that are great for working on a laptop. Every room has its own key and lock for safety, and the coffee shop is locked at night. If you plan to stay out late, just let the owner know. They’re happy to accommodate and make sure everything stays secure for both the guests and the property. The Wi-Fi is reliable, and the connection in room 302 is especially fast. I came as a guest and feel like I’m leaving as part of the family. Reu Coffee & Stay is run by the owner and his parents. The owner is incredibly friendly and always happy to help with anything, whether it’s general requests or suggestions on places to visit and eat. There are many great local spots that aren’t on Google Maps. His parents are just as kind and welcoming. They were always smiling and treated me like I was part of their family. The owner’s father would often sit with me in the garden and try to teach me some Vietnamese while I taught him some English. It was such a fun experience and gave us both a lot of laughs. Every morning, the family would bring me fresh fruit with my breakfast. I think I ate my body weight in jackfruit, lychee, plums, and bananas during my stay. I would highly recommend this coffee shop and homestay to anyone who wants to connect with nature, relax, and enjoy a peaceful, stress-free environment. It’s also very quiet at night, which is great for anyone who wants a good night’s sleep. The homestay is located away from the busy city of Ninh Binh and offers a much more peaceful and in my opinion better experience than staying in the noisy and crowded Tam Coc area. If you want to explore local attractions or tourist areas, there are brand new bicycles available at the homestay for guests to use for free. I often cycled to Mua Caves and Tam Coc for the scenic views and the great variety of restaurants. It’s also really easy to get a taxi to and from the homestay using Grab or Xanh SM.

If you’re visiting Ninh Binh and don’t stay at Rêu Coffee & Stay, you are genuinely missing out on the soul of Vietnamese hospitality. My partner and I had an 11/10 experience here that felt less like a rental and more like being adopted by the kindest family. ☕ The Vibe: A Green, Boho Oasis The ground floor is a stunning, lush, boho-chic coffee shop. It is the perfect spot to start your day. The Coffee: Hands down the best we’ve had in Vietnam, and the prices are incredibly affordable. The Atmosphere: Aesthetic, leafy, and peaceful—it’s a design lover’s dream. 🛏️ The Room: Better Than the Photos Honestly, the pictures on Google/Airbnb do not do this place justice. Design: Incredible attention to detail. It’s airy, comfy, and has a private balcony that is perfect for relaxing. Amenities: Top-notch AC, powerful fans, and high-quality toiletries. Note: Since the rooms are on the 2nd floor, the water pressure is a bit low, but the charm of the space more than makes up for it. 💖 The Hospitality: Like Coming Home The hosts are older, but they have more energy than anyone I know! They were constantly "on their toes" to make sure we were happy. The Luggage: Despite being older, they insisted on helping us carry our heavy bags to the 2nd floor. The Kitchen: When we asked about food, they were so sweet that they gave us their entire kitchen to cook our own meal. They treated us like their own children. Full Service: They arranged our motorbike rental, helped us exchange currency to VND, and even booked our luxury limousine back to Hanoi. Verdict: MUST VISIT This isn't just a place to sleep; it’s a place that makes you fall in love with Vietnam. We would fly back to this country just to stay at Rêu again. Pro Tip: Spend your mornings in the cafe downstairs—the vibes (and the caffeine) are unmatched!

Nice place. Friendly with foreigner. Easy to go to other sightseeing like Trang An, Bai Dinh pagoda. Owner really kindness. Safe. Quite silent place for rest. Affordable
