The Schoko Monk must get high marks for entrepreneurship. A cute, low-profile café just off Zangsti Road, on a one-way running up from eatery-congested Fort Road, it's easy to miss during the day, but stands out in the evening with its bright, beautiful lights shining through large glass windows. The décor inside is modern and minimalistic, and makes good use of the limited, odd-shaped space. The café is an artisanal bakery-cum-chocolatier, all made by its young proprietor. The seating inside is comfortable, and is a great place to linger, with beautiful light streaming in through the day. There's a range of hot and cold coffee and teas, shakes and of course desserts. Backpackers may find their budgets stretched. Think of USD 1 for a candy-sized artisanal chocolate and USD 2.5 for a small piece of cake. Other than the perception-pricing, the Schoko is a pretty place to hang out in Leh.

Stumbled across this cute boutique Chocolate and Coffee place while strolling around the area. The Bon Bons (filled chocolates) are great and it's fantastic to see the use of locally grown sea buck Thorn, barley, and walnuts. The usage of chikmagalur (A region in Karnataka) Coffee beans is very prominent in their coffees which won us over. The desserts are good too, the Opera spin is beautifully done in one of their dessert. Hot chocolate is amazing too. Chef Saptarshi is an amazing host, and you can definitely dive in deep conversations with her about food and places. We visited thrice in our short stay in Leh

Schoko Monk Chocolates in Leh, a cozy and charming establishment run by a single woman, is a hidden gem near Leh Market. Our visit to this delightful chocolate haven left us with a sweet aftertaste, thanks to mouthwatering treats and impeccable cleanliness. Schoko Monk Chocolates offers a cozy and inviting setup that instantly puts you at ease. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to unwind. Notably, the kitchen and premises were spotless, reflecting a commitment to cleanliness that enhances the overall experience. ✨ We indulged in the chocolate and orange cake, along with an assortment of chocolates. The cake was a harmonious blend of rich chocolate and zesty orange flavors, a true delight for the taste buds. The chocolates were equally tempting, with a variety of textures and flavors that left us craving for more. Each bite was a sweet symphony that left us craving for an encore.
