via GoogleThis is our first time staying at this hotel. OMG, it looks just like a palace! Waking up to the chirping of birds is such a beautiful experience. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.💫🫶

via Google- If you are looking for a location where there is truly nothing, absolutely nothing nearby, this is the place for you. - It is situated in a wooded area close to a small village, with Chiang Mai town about a 35-minute drive away. We were not hotel guests but visited the restaurant. The building itself is beautifully designed in a colonial style and creates a lovely atmosphere. We ordered salads and noodle dishes. Unfortunately, the portions were quite small and the taste was average. Overall, the menu feels unbalanced and does not offer sufficient value for the price level. Sadly, it was a rather mediocre experience.

via GoogleThis hotel is one of those places that understands luxury in a quiet, considered way. From the moment you arrive, everything feels thoughtfully put together — the architecture, the materials, the lighting. There’s a real sense of balance between contemporary design and the natural surroundings, without anything feeling overdone. The service is a real standout. Warm, attentive and very well judged. Always there when you need it, but never intrusive which makes all the difference. There’s a clear intention behind each space, designed to slow things down and let you properly settle into the experience. It’s not the kind of place that tries too hard to impress, but one that stays with you for how it makes you feel. A place you naturally want to return to.

via GoogleWe had a lovely time at SELA. We had no difficulty whatsoever in finding taxis to and from the hotel and it was nice to stay in the countryside. The staff are really nice. The food was very good too. Overall, would recommend!

via GoogleFive-star photos, one-star experience. I have stayed at many five-star hotels, but this is the first one that made me feel compelled to leave a bad review. If you want a hotel far from the city center, strange experiences at night, dismissive staff, almost no facilities, and a front desk that can somehow find your lost item and then un-find it, this may be the place for you. We booked a garden-view room for five nights. On the second night, my boyfriend and I had an extremely unsettling experience in the way to hotel and the room that felt paranormal. I cannot prove what caused it, but it frightened us enough that I asked to cancel the remaining nights. Reception refused a refund and joked that the hotel had never had ghosts — so perhaps I was the ghost. Very reassuring. Very five-star. We stayed one more night because it was late, had another disturbing experience, barely slept, and checked out the next morning. I later found other reviews describing similar experiences. Draw your own conclusions. Then came the missing-shirt comedy. After checkout, I realized I had left a white shirt behind. The hotel eventually emailed me saying: “We found it.” Since I had already flown home, my friend called them again and was also told they had it. She spent 1,316 THB and two hours travelling to the hotel. When she arrived? No shirt. They had made a mistake. Apparently this hotel offers a unique service where lost items can be found, unfound, and disappear twice. When I asked management to explain, the manager responded along the lines of: “We already apologized. What kind of attitude do you expect?” At that point, I genuinely wondered whether I was supposed to apologize to the hotel for complaining. As for the property itself: it is very small, with limited facilities, three breakfast choices and no buffet. The advertised airport transfer was also not available during my stay. So where are the five stars? Possibly in the photos. To be fair, the hotel photographs are beautiful. Unfortunately, photographs cannot provide hospitality, solve problems, or find your shirt. I checked out early and would not return. Future guests: read the recent reviews carefully and keep your expectations — and apparently your belongings — very close.
