Sissy’s Cafe

Just visited this new coffee shop, bakery, and breakfast spot and really enjoyed it. The prices are great, especially for the quality and selection of food. The coffee was excellent, and the barista is clearly very talented. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. They also have cute outdoor seating that is perfect for sitting back and enjoying the foot traffic. I also liked that they offer grab-and-go items for busy mornings, along with a nice selection of sweet bakery treats. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

Sissy's is exactly what San Pedro has been missing. As a local, I usually have to drive out of the area to find a café with this level of quality and I am so glad that's no longer the case. The coffee was outstanding and the food was genuinely phenomenal fresh, flavorful and beautifully executed. The vibe and layout of the space are also really inviting. This place has so much potential. The cashier who took my order was warm, friendly and personable exactly the energy you want when walking into a new spot. However the overall service experience was inconsistent. There was another staff member who wasn't rude but wasn't particularly welcoming either and at times it felt like we were being subtly rushed even though we were having conversation after enjoying our meal. For a new restaurant still building its community presence, that kind of warmth and hospitality matters. I also noticed the gentleman who appeared to be the owner was very engaged and personable with certain patrons but significantly less so with others. A simple welcome or thank you for coming goes a long way especially in a neighborhood establishment trying to build loyalty. The food alone will bring me back. But I hope the team works on delivering a consistently warm experience for every single guest that walks through the door because this place truly has something special.

Wouldn’t recommend to be honest… got the hummus plate and there was a hair in my food, also gave SO MUCH hummus and like two pieces of bread and little slivers of tomatoes…also random little onions on the side?? yeah wouldn’t recommend. I also got a London fog and it just tasted like warm water.

Very busy - even on a Tuesday morning at 10:30am! Great staff, great specialty coffee options. Perfect size menu with unique selections. Food was excellent with great and different flavors than other cafes. Will definitely be back!

Second weekend in a row, this time my wife & I tried the breakfast burrito & chilaquiles! For dessert we shared a peach scone...Yummy😋yummy Excellent across the board, tried the SMOKE SALMON TOAST👌 perfect presentation & every bite was so savory(my compliments to the 👨‍🍳 chef. Extremely clean dining area, both indoors & outside patio. Pleanty of parking & the service was excellent. I highly recommend SISSY's on 8th.... you know I'll be back & I'll definitely spread the word!
