Tucked away behind Lorong 35’s scissor-cut curry rice, this hidden gem is a must-visit for coffee lovers. The barista, a friendly and skilled Englishman, lets you choose your preferred beans, ensuring a perfect cup every time. Their coffee is rich and aromatic, with the milk’s natural sweetness shining through—no sugar needed! Service is quick and welcoming, making it a great spot for a peaceful coffee break. Just note, it’s cash or PayNow only. A highly recommended stop for a quality brew!

Randomly came across this by walking past Amoy street to see this coffee place so decided to try . Ordered a hot latte and was surprisingly good. It was strong and flavourful , and they use specialty coffee beans too which was great flavour notes Read online that this used to be in a back alley in geylang and recently moved here. Definitely a top 3 coffee place in cbd!

🟫Sloth and Messenger Coffee 115 Amoy Street Singapore 069935 🔵 Location = 🔵 Alight at Telok Ayer MRT Station and use Exit A. 🟦 Walk down abit, and you'll see Amoy Street. ➡️ This newly-opened cafe kiosk is just situated down the first row of shophouses. 🟧 Decor ************ 🟠 Sloth & Messenger Coffee occupies the ground floor lobby of a shophouse building. 🟧 The interior of this cafe kiosk features a minimalist and intimate space. 🟠 A prominent wooden counter with a black top dominates the space. ▪︎The floor has a distinctive chevron pattern in light wood tones. ➖️ The back wall is a mix of white marble and light grey panels. 🟠 There are a few alfresco seats placed at the five-foot-way area ( ▪︎meaning, the gor-kah-kee corridor in Hokkien). ➖️ Large glass black framed panels at the entrance create an open, kiosk-like feel. 🟡 Beverages **************** 🟡 Iced Cafe Latte / SGD7.50 ( paid via Mastercard) 🟡 I requested a little sugar syrup. ● The iced milk coffee was smooth, creamy and well balanced, with very low bitterness and acidity. Lightly sweetened and easy to drink, it was a refreshing and well-crafted cup for a warm & humid day. 🟩 Service = 🟩 At the counter was Josh, the owner, who hails from Manchester in England. He was friendly, affable and exuded genuine vibes. 🟩 I did have a little chat with him and his assistant, a lovely lady. ▪︎ The ambience was comfortable and if I ever pass by Amoy Street again, I would return here to get a coffee drink again. ➖️ Oh yah, I do feel that Mr Josh bears a strong resemblance to Vincent Van Gogh, the Dutch painter. 🟩 6th Feb 2026 Friday

Stop by this little coffee shop next to Telok Ayer station, and you should too! The coffee is excellent, and the team is great and fast 👍 There is a few tables also in front if you want to sit while drinking.
