Teas With Bees

Such a beautiful and unforgettable experience! Hands down the best honey I’ve ever had, and as a vegan, so great to have from rescued bees knowing Marvin and how he takes care of them. Sitting down to have tea and meet the bees was so fun, educational, and restorative. With the city being so overstimulating, having Tea with Bees is a gem that nourishes the soul and makes you feel so connected to yourself and the world around you. Marvin & Tanya are incredible hosts, and I look forward to being back!

Teas with Bees provided such a beautiful evening learning about bees, having a soothing and calming environment with a sacred tea ceremony, a sound bath and setting of intentions. We entered our hosts apiary and sat with the bees. We watched them with a magnifying glass, listened to the sound and vibration of their hives and were able to observe them with a front row seat. We also found out having bees in your house is good luck and we were privileged that the bees chose us (we had 2 previous bee infestations in our walls). Recommend to anyone in the LA area!

Marvin and Tanya gave us such a beautiful experience. We joined for an afternoon tea session. We set intentions, meditated, and of course enjoyed tea and bees. It was so interesting to learn the history of bees and how humans have often used bees to heal physically and spiritually. Even if you don’t enjoy meditation, you’ll still enjoy this experience as the bees are so calming and mesmerizing, and Marvin is so incredibly knowledgeable. We enjoyed being able to suit up and observe the hives. We left feeling lighter, calmer, and refreshed. Thank you, Marvin!

Teas with Bees is one of the best activity you can do for yourself if you’re afraid of bees. Courtnay and Marvin is so calming and knowledgeable that you’ll go into it with an open heart and by the end of it, you come out with such an appreciation of the little workers you’ll never be afraid anymore. Bonus is being able to partake in the honey from the hives and also share some with the bees themselves. I’ve never felt so connected to nature than through this experience.

This was the most incredible discovery - my boyfriend took me on a surprise date for a tea sit in Marvin's yard with apiary in Eagle Rock and it was such an unbelievably special experience and really unique offering that they have put together. First you sit with the group and are served tea in the yard to ground yourself and calm your energy before introducing yourself to the bees. Then Marvin will set you up with a long stick with a little bit of honey on the end to sit outside the hive and observe as the bees come out to feed - just a really beautiful alternative to tuning in and observing the bees without disrupting them or their hive. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn more about these incredibly important creatures! Marvin is a wealth of knowledge and his relationship with the bees is one to learn from.
