THE COCOA PROJECT

A little gem in the midst of District 3! The chocolate is so good and the vibes are very chilled. The esthetic is very different from other coffee shops and this one definitely stands out!

While waiting for the rain to stop we noticed The Cocoa Project. Warming up with a hot chocolate during such a cold heavy rain seemed like a good idea. We were greeted by a friendly security guard who sheltered us with an umbrella. Once inside we were impressed with a nice decor and relax vibes. We both liked our classic dark chocolates. However, we were unhappy with the attitude of one male staff member. When my friend asked him nicely about something he answered rudely. Is it too much to expect a friendly and polite service to go with the nice atmosphere? Many reviewers have mentioned staff's rudeness or impolite attitude.

Visited twice, bought 15 bars of chocolate and spent over 1.7m VND but they still wouldn't make a vegan friendly coconut milk hot chocolate because of the difference in price. I didn't come to buy juice from a chocolate shop! This review could have been 5 Star if the 5 staff were able to find a solution to a very simple problem to be able to accommodate vegans who want to sit down and relax along with their purchases. I am sure there are other chocolate venues that are better for vegans and if I had more time in my travels, I would have searched for somewhere else to spend my money. Hopefully this honest review will help the others to better include vegans as customers important enough to cater to in future.
