I was pleasantly surprised to find this newly opened cafe close to my childhood home. It’s run by a very friendly and lad-back German chef who learned culinary skills in Berlin. And the honed skills really shine through the dishes he creates. Although cheesecake is a specialty of the house(love the Berlin Classic), other dishes like German meatballs, pork shoulder and smoke salmon are just as delicious. Each is tasty in its own way. It’s like you can taste layers of flavor in every bite. I was most impressed by the complex flavor of the open sandwiches. Normally, you wouldn’t expect much from a sandwich, but it’s actually top-notch. Definitely a hidden gem in an unassuming neighborhood.

Very friendly owner/chef, and we love the atmosphere in this little corner of the street. The coffee and tea good and the sandwich I had was delicious, even though I asked owner to take out the chilis in my spicy sandwich! We tried the chocolate cheesecake which is rich, not too sweet and creamy. Food is slow to arrive since he’s only one person. Make sure you have time to spend and enjoy the nice spread. We hope there will be some new dishes in the future to try.

A small cafe, but full of flavor. The roast beef sandwich was to die for and my friend and I tried 2 cheesecakes. All the food exceeded our expectations, but the cheesecake is hands-down the best I have had in Taiwan (possibly anywhere?) Definitely passing this place on to my friends to try out. Will be back again soon.

The sandwich has crispy toasted bread, and the extra chicken is really satisfying. It’s a nice place to relax for an afternoon on weekdays. The tea can be refilled, and the cheesecake is really rich and creamy
