Trap Space

A nice, clean, and modern cafe with a pleasant river view. The coffee is decent, and the atmosphere is calm, making it a popular spot for people to work or study. However, the number of good tables and chairs suited for working is limited compared to how many customers come in, so it can be hard to find a proper seat during busy hours. Still, it’s a comfortable and relaxing place overall.

Such a cozy and creative spot! Trap Space feels like a little hidden gem in the city - calm, stylish, and full of character. The drinks are great (especially the banana pudding houjicha!!), and the staff are super friendly and easygoing. The space is perfect for chilling, reading, or having long talks with friends. The interior design is artistic, with soft lighting and a relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay for hours. Definitely one of my favorite cafés in Ho Chi Minh City!

The space aligns with its name “Trap” where creative and burstling activities present and evoke the feeling of comfort and sharing. Still, Trap also serves specialty coffee for their acquainted customer as well. Just come and experience yourself.

I love the new space of Trap which is spacious and cosy, just like a living room coming out from Friends series. This is the perfect place for having good matcha and coffee, while also can hang out and play boardgames with friends. If your are not feeling going with friends here, Trap Space has some private corners and spaces for you to read books (bonus that they have lots of books here) and listen to music by yourself while looking out at the beautiful scenery outside. . I had two hand-brews and an apple danish. Surprisingly, the Costa Rica - Brunca Hand Brew was delightful and not bitter, and suitable with the apple danish. Meanwhile, the other hand brew was not my really my type…. The apple danish was a bit pricey but very delicious with the caramelised and tender cooked apples. . If this place is not far from my house, I would visit here every day for good quality matcha and coffee and delicious pastries.

Tucked away in a quiet alley along the canal, this is a hidden gem of a riverside cafe. Located on the second floor, the space features stylish mid-century modern decor and large windows that frame the lush greenery outside. ​Their beverage program is impressive, with a strong focus on high-quality Matcha and Japanese teas (including Houjicha and Wakoucha), alongside specialty coffees. ​The Matcha Latte strikes a perfect balance between bitterness and umami—switching to Meiji milk adds a delightful creaminess. The Houjicha Latte also offers a relaxing, roasted aroma. For food, the croissant is exceptional: crispy on the outside, buttery and moist on the inside, offering quality that matches the price. ​Despite its hidden location, the cafe is incredibly popular. It often reaches capacity even in the early morning, so be prepared for a crowd.

A local friend recommended this spot, a true hidden gem! It’s by the river and you have great views with the wide windows- a lovely way to start your morning in hcm 🕊️they serve a variety of drinks and pastries 🥐☕️ I came by for an event and the place was so cosy and well decorated, with the jazz band event made everything feel so surreal. A gorgeous quaint space not to miss out regardless!! There are workshops too and i would love to attend one the next time i’m back, this place will definitely on my must visit whenever im back 🌟
