Unknown Café & Bistro Town Series

I had such a great experience at Unknown Cafe & Bistro Town Series. It was just a short 9-minute walk from my hotel, and I stopped in for lunch and a coffee. Honestly, I wish I had discovered this place earlier—I’m leaving Penang tomorrow, and I would have definitely come here several times during my stay. It turned out to be the perfect spot for me. The cafe is clean, modern, and very welcoming. The menu has a great variety of options, and everything felt thoughtfully put together. I ordered the Glaming Mala Salmon meal along with a latte, and both were excellent. If you’re in the area, this is absolutely a place worth visiting. I’d definitely return on my next trip to Penang!

Wow! This is a world class cafe with an amazing menu. Bold flavours, local influences to classics, showcased Malaysian food highlights and expert execution from the kitchen. Our party of four had breakfast, we were all blown away by the quality and variety of the menu. Service, decor, coffee - all good. Don't hesitate to come here, we had hit and miss experiences at many other good looking or highly rated cafes. This is the real deal, so worth it. Well done to the team here. Didn't take more photos sorry we all dived in immediately.

Unknown Café & Bistro in Penang completely impressed me! From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed, with a stylish yet cozy vibe that makes it perfect for a casual brunch. The food was genuinely delicious — beautifully plated, generous portions, and full of flavour. You can tell the team puts real effort into their dishes. The drinks menu was equally impressive, with great coffee, refreshing beverages, and plenty of options for every mood. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive without ever being intrusive. The staff made me feel right at home, super friendly and helpful and it truly elevated the entire experience.

Great vibe, friendly staff, the dirty latte has a very fragrant nutty smell, and at the last sip it has the bitter kick which is subtle. The food was nice and thr portion was decent for 1 person meal. Nice lunch with a great weather.
