I had seen the café online a few days ago and the old book concept caught my attention, so I decided to go today. But when I first entered, I was disappointed because the atmosphere wasn't really as beautiful as it looked online, and the seating area was very limited and small. There was no available seat, so I started waiting, because I had come a long way and also I had a terrible stomachache, so I just wanted to sit and rest. While waiting, I was looking at the books and the shop inside the café. Finally, someone left, and just as I was about to sit, two women came and said they were in line, even though I had arrived earlier. Because they tried to argue with me, I gave up my seat out of politeness. Afterward, I wanted to get coffee and wait, but the person working at the counter told me I couldn’t do that, and his tone was quite rude. When I mentioned the unfairness regarding the seat and asked, “What do you expect me to do?”, he almost implied that I should leave, and I felt like I was being kicked out. The organization inside the café is extremely poor, and I don’t think the customers are shown the respect they deserve at all. I will never go there again. It's a waste of the time I spent on the way there. I do not recommend it.

Comfy cafe, with a nice ambience. Loved the concept of pairing coffee and food with used books. Most of the books are in French, you will have to really struggle to find books in English. Would absolutely recommend the matcha latte and cheese toast. Both were yummy and filling. Cherry on top- the service was

I had an incredible and welcoming experience at the Used Book Café. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and unique. Fouad was so cool and friendly, preparing our drinks with care. The chai latte and matcha latte with almond milk were absolutely amazing – easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Having traveled the world for 20 years and visited countless coffee shops globally, I can confidently say this spot stands out as one of the best. It’s not just a coffee shop but a place that makes you feel at home. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Overall a good café. I love it that it’s in a bookstore and that there’s outdoor seating in the café. The young servers were friendly and quick. I had a chai latte, which was basically good – heavy on the milk, could have been more flavorful. The croissant was good, too – though I tend to buy my breads and croissants from boulangeries rather than from cafés. I’m going to come back and try some of their breakfast offerings as well. So, basically quite good!

Not what it used to be. As a local living on boulevard Beaumarchais, for me this was a go-to spot for tea and cake on a Sunday afternoon. No more. We tried to go at 3pm on Sunday and were inhospitably turfed out, told that only those eating a full meal would be seated. There were three empty tables in view; Google Maps described it as “less busy than usual.” I guess their €6 teas aren’t paying the bills any more. I can recommend Pom Pom and Kodama on the same street for anyone looking to be properly welcomed.
