Vela Cafe and Restaurant

Food is very nice and being vegan probably the best I experienced in Vang Vieng. This restaurant was across the road from my hotel and I didn't notice it until my 2nd day. There is a separate vegetarian menu, but if you tell them no eggs, fish or oyster sauce, they can make it vegan. I eat here 4 times when in Vang Vieng as it was one of the better restaurants in town and fairly cheap. I even came here for breakfast the morning I was leaving. The breakfast menu didn't have anything I would want to eat, so I just had the Pad Lao and an Americano, which was probably the best coffee I also had in Vang Vieng.

What a nice surprise to come across this place! We ate our dinner here for 3 nights in a row and I’ve just found out they are closed today (Monday) so we have to have our dinner elsewhere. Food is delicious and so far the best we had in Vang Vieng. Staff are friendly, restaurant is quiet, very clean compared to others in VV and prices are very good. Definitely recommend!

Had the most tasty and fresh dinner here. I had the Pad Lao and my boyfriend had the Pad Kaphao. Service was friendly and quick. Clean restaurant. Definitely recommend!!
