For the refined palate😋👍 Love the minimalist art deco?/historic interior and nuance touches. Every element on my tray was enjoyable and unique :) Really appreciate the lighter more delicate roast...so over the toasty roasty intense burnt flavour that seems popular w this region's locals...

Did not expect to find something this good on Lebuh Farquhar. Way Coffee Roastery is tucked inside a conservation building on one of George Town’s most heritage-rich streets, and the space itself is already worth the visit. Instead of one big open floor, the cafe is split into individual rooms, each with its own vibe. Quiet, intimate, and genuinely characterful. The drinks are the real surprise though. “The Way” is their signature, a sparkling nutmeg espresso, and it was a first for me. The fizz lifts everything, the nutmeg gives it this warm spiced edge, and the espresso holds its own underneath. Unexpected and very enjoyable. Very Penang too. The iced hojicha was beautifully done, earthy and toasty without being watered down. The iced chocolate was rich and properly bittersweet, nothing like the powder stuff you get elsewhere. If you are walking Farquhar Street and want a coffee stop that actually delivers, this is it. A genuinely enjoyable find.

The building here is under Heritage Building. U can see old day type kitchen cooking area is built up by brick. Nice ambience for my morning cup of good coffee ☕️.

We found this place in our search for a good filter coffee, and wow, it was incredible. We had a filter coffee each, as well as a mushroom and walnut scroll and a cookie. Not hard to find, just follow the signs, a quiet, beautiful experience. By the signage you could also hire a desk here to work for the day/half day. Highly recommend.

So difficult to find this place, but worth the effort. Enter via the Lim Lean Teng Mansions, although it’s actually in another building - go along, up, up, double back, follow a roof-level walkway… But really nice when you get there. Interesting air-conditioned “cells” with fabric-curtained doorways. Oh, and a very good coffee too.
