Ancient House Coffee Shop - Bar Hoi An

Tucked just a street back from the bustling river market, this charming coffee shop is a hidden gem in Hoi An’s Old Town. We stumbled upon it during a stroll and were instantly drawn in by the happy hour chalkboard—buy 1 get 1 free cocktails from 3PM to 8PM. Naturally, we gave it a try… and came back more than once! The cocktails were surprisingly strong and well-made, served in classic glasses with garnishes that made them feel special. We sat out front under the shade with a great view of the passing street life, all while fans kept a refreshing breeze on us—a welcome touch in the heat. It was one of the most relaxing spots we found in town. What really made it memorable was the owner. Super friendly, always smiling, and he remembered us each time we walked by. That personal connection really elevated the experience. Whether you’re after a refreshing mango smoothie, a coconut coffee, or something a bit stronger, there’s something for everyone—including non-alcoholic drinks and juices.

I ordered a cold Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, and it was very rich. It was only 45kVD. The shop’s decorations were great—you can enjoy a mix of modern and old Vietnamese styles.

Cozy atmosphere with attentive and friendly service. The coffee is exceptionally delicious. I would only love to see a bit more snacks or pastries on the menu :) but everything they do offer is perfect!

What a lovely place to just chill out and watch the world go by. Was greeted as I entered with a lovely smile from female owner. Managed to get a prime spot by window and overlooking the street. Got a nice egg coffee and brownie was yummy. Great atmosphere, soft music and Christmas decoration up....felt very comfortable. Awesome stuff everyone at Ancient House Coffee
