Arnie's Bakery & Cafe

Arnie's Bakery is definitely worth the drive from West LA, especially if you heard about it on NPR like we did. The breakfast boat with veggies was delicious, offering a fresh and flavorful start to the day. What made the visit even more memorable was Arnie himself taking the time to talk with us and share the bakery’s history, giving a personal touch that enhanced the experience. The desserts we tried were delightful, complementing the meal perfectly. Service was exceptional throughout our visit, with staff genuinely interested in receiving honest feedback, which speaks volumes about their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Overall, Arnie's Bakery provides not just tasty food, but an inviting atmosphere and genuine hospitality that makes it stand out.

The food is amazing! The sweetest people. The cakes and cookies are beautiful! Plus, Armenian treats! A really incredible playground for children- even with a petting zoo and Pony! They have lots of community events. I had the Arnie special, a lahmajun, and a variety of delicious cookies. Oh, and cinnamon tea and tahn! Seriously, don’t miss this gem. 💕

If you’re having a bad day, come here. If the warm pastries don’t cheer you up, the workers definitely will! They are so nice and it makes the atmosphere super positive and pleasant to be in. We came at night so we didn’t sit outside, but there’s a playground and some kind of cute saloon in the back. Such a fun and interesting place! I would come here to study or work, or just enjoy good food with a friend. The zaatar manakish was the best I’ve ever had, and the honey cake was perfectly made. Can’t wait to come back!

The food was excellent. I was disappointed by amount of items to choose from, but then was thrilled after the first bite. What they do make is very well made. Turkey Club sandwich, pistachio baklava, chocolate cake were all exceptionally good. The Sandwich bread was my favorite part, it was like a hoagie bun, but lighter, crisper, softer, and huge. We ended up splitting it in three. The chocolate cake was different than expected, layers of chocolate amd nuts between layers of wafers. Ten out of ten. Will go there again and will be bringing my in-laws. Only downside is the ambiance. The tables are nice and the food cases are good, but they need to do a better job of hiding their storage, improve the feel of the front and back patio areas, and clean up the parking lot. Mostly visual improvements. But, Ill still be going back.

Absolutely delectable spinach and feta puff. There is a decent vegetarian selection and alternative milk options for those who are dairy free. My pastry was very fresh and light. The coffee was okay, but since it was a food cafe I was not too picky. I personally prefer a stronger coffee flavor, but it seemed to be mostly milk and syrup. Overall it was good. We were served by a very pleasant young lady. Would come again if we were in the area.
