The Back Door Bakery & Cafe

The Burger is heavenly, their spinach and feta cheese croissant is a must have. Service is top notch. I wish they opened earlier. 7:30am I am already at the office.

What a delightful bakery and coffee shop. Pastries were delicious (I had caramel chili croissant) and I bought some rye bread also. They also serve espresso drinks (who doesn't, right?). The staff was attentive and friendly and the setting was a little oasis at the edge of a strip mall. They have nice indoor seating and a lovely little garden area to enjoy also.

i really wanted to like this place, but after giving it two chances i was still disappointed. i ordered the egg english muffin, which was probably the best thing we got. unfortunately the egg was way overcooked. i really wish they would let you choose how you want your egg cooked when ordering online instead of just cooking it however they decide. i also ordered two coffees, one hot and one iced with half sweetness. they gave me both hot and the iced coffee that was supposed to be half sweet was extremely sweet, which was already frustrating. we also ordered the ham and swiss croissant but it wasn’t in the bag, so i had to ask for it. when they finally gave it to me it was cold. lastly, we got the cinnamon sticky bun and it just wasn’t good. definitely wasn’t worth the price. overall, the food and service didn’t live up to the reviews or the price. i really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately i wouldn’t come back.

A very nice bakery and cafe serving fresh baked pastries, cookies, coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees. There is indoor and outdoor seating and friendly , helpful staff. We ordered specialty croissants both sweet and savory. We were very happy with our selection and would definitely return.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We met up as a group of 12 motorcyclists at The Back Door Bakery & Cafe (8349 Foothill Blvd, Sunland, CA 91040) to kick off our day, and it turned out to be a great spot. The place has a cozy and charming vibe, perfect for a morning gathering. Breakfast and coffee were enjoyable, with good quality food and flavors. Prices were reasonable too. Overall, a nice spot to start the day—definitely worth a visit!
