Baker & Cook - Dairy Farm

We ordered the Sourdough bread board and became fans of their bread ! We loved their Bagels having had it from Cold Storage.. Each bread had a character and unique flavor. I still remember the German Volkorn bread. And the dips were also quite different. A mildly chocolaty butter that I loved, and the eggplant dip was worth calling out.

We were at the mall waiting to meet a client, and decided to grab a quick drink and cake. There were not a lot of options, and Baker and Cook had hoardings in the mall stating they had the best coffee. It is located at one end of the mall, actually the furthest point from the carpark entrance. The staff were friendly and service was quick. The earl grey tea came in a pot enough for two cups which was nice, but the eclair was rather disappointing - it was dry and seemed to be at least a day old, if not more. Prices for the two items was around $14.

The bread and coffee tastes decent and looks well made, but the price is quite high for the portion size. It feels more like an occasional treat rather than something worth buying regularly.

Love visiting Baker & Cook at Dairy Farm! The food and drinks are always consistently good, and the team is warm, friendly, and welcoming. Special shoutout to Joe for his great service. One small piece of feedback for management — the air-conditioning really needs attention. It often feels quite warm inside, almost no different from being outdoors. I truly feel for the staff working in this heat and hope something can be done to make the experience more comfortable for everyone. I would gladly give five stars if the air-conditioning issue is fixed.

First time having breakfast at Baker & Cook as its opening hours are usually later after our morning strolls. This morning we purposely made a visit but was quite disappointed with the sour dough toast and avo smash breakfast set ordered together with latte and ice mocha. The sour dough bread were overly toasted making them too tough to bite. Noticed that the customer who sat at the table before us, left a piece of the sour dough toast untouched too. The pumpkin seeds bread with avo smash was very hard to bite too as the seeds at the edges of the bread were rather coarse. The avocado was kind of watery. Like the sliced salmon on top though. My ice mocha was okay but my dad said his latte was not good. Staff were friendly and prompt in the delivery of food to our table. $50 plus for 2 pax is rather expensive given the quality of food provided.
