Baker's Bench Bakery

Arrived half hour before they closed. Most of the sandwich options were sold out but lucky there were two options left. I went with the tuna. Lots of filling and melty cheese. Coffee was decent but could be better. Took away some baked goodies. The pecan tart is delicious without being too sweet. Loved the lemon pound cake. Marble tea cake was meh. The brownie with dried fruits was rich and velvety. Would be back to try the other sandwiches I missed and for the baked goods.

Good sandwiches and bakes but at a price. Compact space so not a place to linger during peak hours. Eat and go so you don’t hold up the queue outside. Quite shock when the tea served was simply placed on my table with a slam, not even a look or a word from the wait staff.

Arrived during the peak of lunch hours on a Saturday. So wait was approx 25mins. Food 4/5 Let’s cut to the chase - had the weekend specials burrata sourdough panini and croque Madame. Blend of Italian and French sandwiches huh. Are they the best sandwiches I’ve tasted? No. Are they reasonably priced? Very much so. Would I come again? Yes, but not worth queueing for 25mins I’m afraid. Worth mentioning that sourdoughs were crispy and airy. However, has a strong yeast end-taste which I find it odd. Iykyk Got the brownie as starter - tastes good. Just needs a crunchier exterior and chewier interior. Service 4/5 Everyone was friendly and very busy. Food came within the mentioned times ~ 25mins for weekend specials & ~20mins for croque Madame. Atmosphere 4/5 Comfortable with high ceilings I will be back!

My hubby and I have been coming here for breakfast on a Saturday morning for quite a few times. We enjoy the bakes here! Freshly baked and bread/bun is sourdough which has made the bakes extraordinary! The chocolate cherry cake we had yesterday was so delicious and moist. The coffee latte here is good too! Do drop by if you are a fan of sourdough bread. You will like the bakes here!
