via GoogleLa Maison was always on my list to try, and I wish I went sooner! Within the span of 2 visits, it has already become my favourite place in the city to get pastries. I’m looking forward to trying their original location soon as well. Everything I’ve tried so far has been amazing: the Croissant, Pistachio Croissant Cube, and the Kouign Amann. I’m even planning on bringing some treats from here to my friends in Hamburg when I visit them! The atmosphere was very calm and chill, and I felt very relaxed being in the store. The service was good as well, and the staff member answered all of my questions very genuinely (which isn’t usually my experience in Berlin).

via GoogleAt first glance, it seemed like I had stumbled upon the finest cafe in Berlin, largely thanks to its charming ambiance. However, the taste of the food fell short of my expectations. On a positive note, the coffee was good.

via GoogleIt’s the second location of La Maison and it’s oh so spacious (although still always crowded, so you will probably need to wait a bit). So, what they do best, you’d ask. I won’t help you much, because the answer is: everything. They definitely know their ways around the puff pastry, which is presented in a huge assortment along with typical French desserts, like eclairs, Paris-Brest, canelé etc. Some are unique and innovative, like the pistachio croissant cube. My all-time favourite is a mushroom Danish, but seriously, once you are here, you’ll have the hardest time to decide. And the best thing is that coffee is amazing too!

via GoogleBoutique de LA MAISON offers a charming French bakery experience with delicious pastries like the almond croissant and the Paris Brest, which I really enjoyed. The atmosphere is minimalist and bright, reminiscent of a stylish boutique. The staff is very friendly, making the experience pleasant. However, the coffee could be better, it wasn’t particularly flavorful compared to other cafes. Also, the chairs are tall and not very comfortable for a longer stay. If you’re there for a quick bite, it’s great, but not the best spot for relaxing for hours. Definitely worth visiting for the pastries though! The café provides a small metal ramp for accessibility, which is helpful, though it may feel a bit narrow for larger mobility aids. It’s great to see that accessibility is considered, but a more comfortable and wider ramp could enhance the experience for visitors with mobility needs.
