CAIRO RX CAFE

Since I live in the Bath Beach community, I have passed by this cafe many times by car, but I never went in (maybe too close to home?). I finally visited it with my daughter today and I was very impressed with my experience. One thing you need to know about me is that I love a good cup of coffee and I love to visit mom and pop cafes wherever I travel. This is one of those mom and pops that serve a good cup of coffee, so I'm already hooked. Upon entering, the place is decorated with a lot of wood and bricks, which give it a warm and inviting feeling. Since the owners are Egyptian, the walls were decorated with thoughtful photos and maps that represent Egyptian culture. I admire people who are proud of where they come from and represent their culture through their business like the owners of this cafe do. The beauty of America is how we can enjoy all the special privileges of our society while also paying homage to the cultures that we grew up in. There are several small tables with chairs, enough seating for 10 people. Each table is good for only two people, so bringing a large group here is not recommended unless they all want to sit separately. This place has a food menu with several different sandwiches and toasts. The tuna sandwich that I ordered and the avocado toast that my daughter ordered were both delicious. This cafe also offers fresh juices and smoothies as well as various pastries and cake slices. What was most unique about this location was that there is a pharmacy in the back of the cafe that can be entered through a separate glass door. The pharmacy was well-lit and organized and run by the two owners of the cafe. While I don't often visit pharmacies, I look forward to visiting the cafe again in the near future. In a land full of Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts, I am glad that this cafe exists within walking distance of my home. Many businesses along the Bath Avenue corridor are poorly presented and bring down the look of my neighborhood. The well-maintained Cafe Cairo Rx Pharmacy helps make my neighborhood look good.

Delightful spot - very friendly and clean inside. The order took quite an extensive amount of time (ordered a sandwhich) but I wasn’t in a rush.

So let me just say, Cairo Rx Cafe is a gem in the neighborhood, and here’s why: • Bagels: First off, the bagels? Honestly, they’re doing them right, perfectly chewy, always fresh, and they definitely know what they’re doing. • Americano Consistency: Now, as someone who’s picky about my coffee, I’ve got to say the iced Americanos and hot Americanos here are on point every single time, no weird flavor swings, just solid coffee every visit. • Desserts: Oh, and I did try a few desserts, no disappointments there, seriously their sweets game is strong. • Atmosphere: So the vibe here is actually really nice, sure, there’s a pharmacy in the same space, but it doesn’t make it any less of a real cafe, if anything, it adds a quirky little charm, which is cool, and for this neighborhood, it’s just a fantastic spot to have around. • Staff & Cleanliness: The staff is always, always friendly, they’re responsible, and the place is pretty clean inside, like no complaints at all on that front. Shoutout to Ryan and Zuzu. And hey, let’s be real, it takes a second for people to post a bad review, but it takes an eternity for folks to leave good positive feedback, I’m designating my time here because these guys deserve it, and if you spot a typo, just know I wrote this happily while sipping a great Americano. Absolutely delightful café!☕️🍨🍧 This place has quickly become one of my favorite spots. The pastries are out of this world — especially the croissants, bagels, and those heavenly cakes! Everything is always fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. They have ice cream for kids which is very tasty🍧 The service is outstanding — warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The baristas are true professionals, always attentive and skilled, and they make every coffee with care and consistency. You can tell they really enjoy what they do, and it adds to the whole experience.

Great service, everyone here is very welcoming. I highly recommend the hibiscus drink! It’s homemade! Ryan was the one who helped us.
