Groundwork is one of LA’s original craft coffeehouses. This location is notable for the unique setting inside the historic North Hollywood train station. The coffee is smooth, but a tad dark for their wave coffee. But the space here is unbeatable. Modern coffee culture + vintage train station. Definitely a must-visit for coffee lovers and history enthusiasts alike.

This is a Review for Too Good to Go: First of all the location looks awesome. Second of.all super big 5 stars! Great customer service. 24 total items in my Too Good to Go bag, see pictures. Parking is a little difficult, but worth it. The food quality is fresh and amazing. These guys know how to rock the Too Good to Go world. I ordered coffee and a wrap, both were excellent, so highly recommend placing an order while here.

​Groundwork Coffee has been a staple of North Hollywood for a while now, but I’ve recently rediscovered it while waiting for my car to be serviced nearby. This location is truly special—it’s an old train depot that originally shut down in 1952, now beautifully restored as a "coffee haven." They’ve managed to preserve the character of the historic building while giving it a clean, modern edge. ​The atmosphere is fantastic. I love the breeze you get while sitting out on the patio, where you can look across at the original post office built back when the trains were still running. The woodwork inside is stunning and really transports you back to the building’s roots as a rail stop, even though it now serves as a hub for the G Line (Orange Line) bus. ​As for the food and drink: ​The Coffee: In the two times I was here, it gave me that perfect morning "zing." ​The Food: On my last visit, I had the breakfast burrito, and today I tried the fried egg sandwich with a side salad. Both were excellent—everything tastes fresh, high-quality, and well-seasoned. ​The Vibe: It’s a good place to sit down, think, and get some emails done. While I didn't check it myself, there are plenty of patrons on laptops, so a Wi-Fi signal should be available. ​My only critique is the restroom; it definitely needs some love and a bit more upkeep. ​Overall, it’s a wonderful spot to get some work done and enjoy a bit of local history. Despite the bathroom situation, the fresh food and the nostalgic architecture make it a must-visit in NoHo.

Groundwork Coffee definitely lived up to the hype! This place had been recommended to me over and over, so I finally stopped by to try the vegan breakfast burrito. The burrito was loaded with soyrizo, tofu, roasted potatoes, peppers, avocado, and vegan chipotle mayo. It was hearty, flavorful, and incredibly filling. The real star, though, was the harissa hot sauce. It brought everything together and added the perfect kick. I also tried the seasonal Strawberry Matcha Latte, and it was refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness for a warm day. The café had a great atmosphere, friendly service, and plenty of people coming through, which says a lot. If you’re looking for a solid vegan breakfast in LA, this is definitely worth checking out.

Good Groundwork coffee & friendly service. Housed in an old Pacific Electric building which kind of cool. However, there is zero signage, so you’d never know there’s a GW here. Also, the driveway into the parking lot that’s shown in all map apps does not exist. In fact, there’s no parking at all in the area next to the building. In all, great if you’re on foot and have nowhere to be. If expecting to grab a quick coffee before a meeting (and haven’t been before) you’ll be very frustrated.
