via GoogleRetro atmosphere - tiny, smoky, dimly-lit below-ground coffeeshop with dark furnishings and classical music playing in the background. Really good, prompt service. Coffee was not bad - then again I'm not a coffee connoisseur so I can't say how good the brew was, just that I didn't hate it. It's a good place to unwind if you don't mind the smell if cigarettes.

via Google【2024年8月、訪問】 この日は神保町の用事があり、こちらでコーヒーをと立ち寄りました。 ご存じの通り、神保町には古めかしい喫茶店がたくさんあり、行く度に試しています。 伺ったのは平日の夜18時頃。 地下の店内に入っていくと、左手にカウンターと右手にテーブルがあり、私はカウンターの一番手前に案内されました。 カウンターの奥が空いていたので、そちらの方が嬉しかったかな。 というのは、2つ隣の女性が紙タバコをプカプカ、ここは紙タバコもOKなお店のようでした。 メニューを拝見して、 ・ブレンド ホット 650円 を注文です。 店内には一人で寛いでいたり、二人で会話をしていたりと落ち着いた雰囲気。 私のコーヒーもカウンター内でトクトクと点ててくれて、しばらく後に登場しました。 一口頂くと、炭火焼っぽいしっかりとローストされた味わいであり、昔ながらだとも思います。 最近は新しいカフェが出てきていますが、それらと比べてこちらのコーヒーは必ずしも好みではなかったです。 この古めかしい雰囲気やタバコOKの店内を是とするかどうか、というのもありますが、私はちょっと落ち着きませんでした。 ごちそうさま。

[Visited in August 2024] I had some errands to do in Jimbocho that day, so I stopped by here for coffee. As you know, Jimbocho is full of old-fashioned coffee shops, and I try them every time I go. I visited around 6pm on a weekday night. When I entered the underground store, there was a counter on the left and a table on the right, and I was guided to the front of the counter. The back of the counter was empty, so I guess I was happier there. The woman next door was smoking cigarettes, and it seemed like this was a shop where cigarettes were OK. Take a look at the menu ・Blend hot 650 yen is the order. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm, with people relaxing alone and people having conversations together. My coffee was brewed right on the counter, and it arrived a while later. When you take a bite, it has a well-roasted taste similar to charcoal grilling, and I think it's old-fashioned. There are new cafes popping up recently, but I didn't necessarily like the coffee here compared to them. I wasn't sure if I was okay with the old-fashioned atmosphere and the fact that smoking was allowed in the store, but I was a little uneasy about it. Thank you for the meal.Sei
