Kettl certainly sets the standard, easily establishing itself as a top source for exceptional matcha quality. Tried the Hukuju from Yame, a blend I found to be quite bold and aromatic. Pretty good if you're in the neighborhood, but not really worth going out of your way. I was most looking forward to trying the soft serve; and had not realized that it was only a seasonal item, although it is still on the menu on the wall. Settled for a uji cortado. It was good; but nothing special. The space was nice.

The real deal. Matcha and teas of various qualities. You can reserve a session to see matcha prepared and served in various ways. Hot or cold, plain or latte. Have a nice cup of tea here.

Best tea in this area ( green point ) I love hot Houjicha latee .. sooo good. And green tea here also good. I have some last time. Staff were nice , he cute and friendly. Recommend.

One of my favorite matcha cafés in New York City. Staff is always friendly and matcha is always top tier. It’s pretty crowded on weekends so I usually just take my matcha to go. I also took their matcha latte making class and the instructor was very knowledgeable and it was a great course. I’d love to take another one of their classes!
