La Vieille France

With so many patisseries and boulangeries to choose from it’s hard to know where to go. While several well rated places have proven disappointing La Vieille proved to be an outstanding choice. My orange tarte and our quiches, both, were excellent as was the kind and patient (with my limited French) service we received. Even the “packaging” was a treat.

I have been to the Vieille France the day it opened some 32 years ago when I barged into the shop saying they were borrowing a famous pastry shop name on the Rue de Buci and the owner was gratified I had known her fatherin law's shop when I was a student and bought the best "tarte au ciron " available in Paris inthe seventies! I have just had a tarte aux fraises which was one of the best I have ever eaten and I must confess I usually only eat fig in september but none were left at 5;30 so I relented .Just go there in the early afternoon and buy cakes before a stroll in the Buttes Chaumont

Awesome place with the best Paris-Brest cakes in Paris. Very helpful staff that will het out their way to deliver you the quality product and even bake a little bit more if it all has been sold. The only thing that's bad is the possibility to pay by CC starting from 15 euros.

Best French pastry ever! I tried a lot of places in Paris as any food lover would do. This place is amazing, I tried pretty much everything. Tartelette are generous, éclairs and chocolate cake are delightful not too sugary. A real French handcraft, homemade expertise.

Absolutely fantastic! One of my favorite dessert spots in all of Paris and I would know having lived here for 3 years!
