Nasi Lemak Ol' School (Mauu Coffee)

hands down to their nasi lemak sambal sotong 🙌🏼 it was delicious. the rice was cooked perfectly, not too dry or too mushy. the sambal was tasty and not too spicy, but it still had a little kick. i also ordered the key lime pie for dessert, which was limited and only available at certain times. loved it! its a must-try if you are there (pssst.. don't forget to enjoy along with their Aerocano coffee!) the ambience is also great here, its clean and relaxed. they have a nice selection of music playing in the background, perfect for morning conversation or even just enjoying your meal alone. the only drawback i can think of is that the restaurant closes at noon every day, so make sure you get there before then. 🫣 the restaurant could be more spacious as you'll have to wait for a table when it gets busy, especially during the weekend ya!

I went to this nasi lemak on 19th Oct 24 on my first time (first pic) and i was amazed with the taste of sambal, the sambal is superb tak cair/pedas just nice and pekat. So, I recommend this stall to others so they can try because it was reallyyy good! Nasi lemak with coffee is really nice, good job young man but as I reached today on 22nd Nov 24, i feel dissatisfied and disappointed with the sambal of nasi lemak, ceroi and no longer have the same taste (2nd pic), with the colour of sambal is way different from the first time i tried. Im here to support and encourage owner to improve your quality like previous and maintain it sbb sayang kedai dah bagus (despite meja tak cukup banyak). But still, their choc pie and coffee is good to try. Hopefully, this comment reach you out!

The price point for both the Nasi Lemak and the latte was reasonable, making it a budget-friendly option for those looking to satisfy a craving without breaking the bank. One quirky aspect of this establishment is the cats roaming the premises. While I appreciate that the furry inhabitants add to the old-school vibe, it’s worth noting for fellow diners to keep an eye out, as some of these playful felines might just decide to jump onto your table or lap unexpectedly!

We ordered nasi lemak ayam, mee kari, mocha and nescafe. The nasi lemak was nice overall but the rice part was a bit cold. The mee kari was nice also, with a distinctive curry taste. Pricing was reasonable, maybe should refine a bit as many items were priced "pukul rata" @rm6. Drinks were good. Ambience truly ol'school, love it.

The whole place brought me back to my childhood. And, they have kuih kertas!!!! So hard these days to find classic kuih-muih and it's so good! Nasi lemak so good! Ordered key lime pie to go and well balance of sweet and sour. ❤️
