via GoogleI love the vibe here, the interior design stands out among the other shops nearby. It’s like a time capsule but still modern. Very comfortable seating and aesthetic experience. The coffee is no doubt the best but I also loved the tiramisu. It was soooooo delicious. My favorite I’ve tried so far in my trip. I especially love the sticky layer at the bottom.

via GoogleHad a great experience at One Half Roastery on Sunday. We were actually quite lucky — there was a private coffee sharing session by Chad Wang, and we were allowed to join even though we didn’t book in advance. It turned out to be such a great experience. We learned a lot about the beans and tasting notes, and the barista even served us a recommendation without asking what we wanted — which made the whole experience feel very personal. Great coffee and great hospitality. Definitely worth visiting.

via GoogleStrongly recommend to coffee enthusiasts! I’m a big fan of Panama geisha and Ethiopian alo washed, and I asked barista for something different but also clean. He recommended me the Ecuador, and it tastes splendid. The mulled wine and tea after taste is clear when it’s hot, as temperature comes down, it starts to show more of the sweetness. This is way more than expected at 45 rm. barista came around to ask how it tastes. They really care about their coffee, which is always an indicator of great specialty coffee shop. highly highly recommend!

via GoogleTried a cup of our local Liberica in pourover, a slice of burnt cheesecake, and bought a bag of washed Ethiopian as per the staff’s recs. The Liberica smelled fragrant post-grind, but was not quite to my taste. Unsure if it’s solely due to the bean’s character, but it was thick, muddy, with little to none of the displayed notes shining through. However, the bag of washed Ethiopian for filter was great! One Half seems to roast on the lighter side, which meant that handgrinding took a little more effort- but the notes of florals and orange made for a refreshing cup! If you have a quality grinder that doesn’t produce much fines, and have a preference for lighter filter roasts, they gotchu.

via GoogleThis iteration of One Half feels young, creative, and confident. The coffee is as good as you expect, but the design of the shop is what pulls you in first. It has that clean and fun look that makes you want to stay longer than planned. It looks and feels like a lifestyle shop. :) They have merch, beans, and a lot of small things that appeal to anyone who loves coffee culture.
