via GoogleThe coffee was incredible, easily the best I’ve had so far in Tokyo! I visited after a recommendation from a barista at Koffee Mameya, and it did not disappoint. They serve only light roasts, which is exactly what I prefer. There’s plenty of outdoor seating to relax and enjoy your cup. 11/10!

via GoogleStumbled upon this coffee shop by chance, and ended up being my favorite in Tokyo. The space is designed almost like an art exhibition, from the staircase to the lounge area. They offer a curated selection of coffee beans, and you can choose your preferred brewing method. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and speak English well, and their coffee tastes amazing , went back a second time and would recommend!

via GoogleHands down one of the best coffee I’d tasted. Despite the language barrier, the staffs were patient and nice enough to try to understand the type of coffee taste that I’m into. I would recommend getting their beans Tokyo blend and the ones I’d tasted(sadly the beans were out of stock)

via GoogleFounded by world brewer’s cup 2016 champion Tetsu Kasuya, this place is tucked in a basement nearby the Omotesando station. The design of the place is minimalistic, sleek, and just an amazing place to sit, relax and sip on a great cup of coffee. Their bean selection is a bit limited but they brew themselves in a different location (similar with Glitch and other famous roasters nearby), but what stood out to me was the barista’s passion, technique, and interest in sharing how to make a solid cup of coffee - they have training programs and mentors for all their staff. She spoke perfect English as is done in the championships, shared with us how/why they use the immersive dripper paired with the rolls-royce of grinders, and then walked us through the smells and techniques at each and every pour for the 4:6 method. We had a blast and the coffee hit all the notes perfectly. My only comment is that like a lot of Japanese roasters, they do not experiment with funky/interesting processes (which I enjoy), and prefer classic natural and washed roasts.

via GoogleFinding out this shop is in the basement, one would think claustrophobic and dank. This shop has a serene space to enjoy the masterful coffee they present as a work of art.
