Sakurai Japanese Tea Experience

My husband and I went in today and were able to get sat without a reservation. This was on a Tuesday at noon, and there was a steady stream of customers. This was a highlight of our trip as we appreciated the care their team put into each part of the tasting. It was incredibly fascinating watching the tea maker prepare the water and teas, and the food/tasters paired nicely with the drinks. We found the experience to be extremely calming and sedating, with a sprinkle of ASMR. We highly recommend it for those that want to open up their palate to the regional teas Japan has to offer. PS their cashew dessert is insanely good.

90% of customers speak English according to the staff, so it's a touristy place for sure. Tried a flight of 5 types of tea with accompanying snacks. The teas were lovely but I think the snacks are not for me. I prefer a tea place with a more personalised service so will likely not return, but overall still a good experience.

One of a kind foodie tea experience. We have been a couple of times and this is such a highlight of the trip. It is not a traditional tea ceremony but a true food and tea experience- you leave feeling like you had tea for the first time - the food is individual sweets with the tea so not a meal just bites but wow - unbelievable. Highly recommend.
