Disappointed with how the seating situation was handled. I was already seated at a single-person counter when another customer with two kids tried to squeeze into the same space. I have to speak up for myself. Staff should have used better judgment and directed them elsewhere instead of attempting to fit them into my seat area. After informing the manager, the response was just an apology. Service recovery could definitely be improved. I pack and go, don’t feel any good staying there to finish it. Really spoil the dining experience.

Honestly, this restaurant doesnt deserve to be 4.5 stars. The japanese curry omelette with salmon is ok at best. The salmon is so overcooked that it tastes like chicken instead. The chili crab pasta is not nice. There are so many other outlets that serves better pasta. The worst of the worst is the mentaiko cauliflower/broccoli. Seriously, it failed so badly that we can hardly eat more than 2 pieces. For the price, maybe i should spend it on the western food at the coffeeshop nearby instead. And yes, they are nicer than this and would have change spared. Wont be back.

Entered without expectations and turned out to be a pretty good lunch! Especially enjoyed the chicken sesame salad! Will attempt this combo at home. The strawberries were a nice touch. Sucha tasty combi! I was afraid initially there won’t be sufficient protein so added avocado. But you get an almost palm-sized worth of chicken + 1/2 hard boiled egg in the salad. Mushroom soup + toast were decent too. Cafe ambience was nice too. A nice quiet afternoon weekday lunch. Will return to try other items on the menu! Eyeing the matcha offerings on the menu. Wish they have some value-for-money set lunches like their neighbour though 😅

Ordered the Mentaiko Salmon Mac & Cheese and also Strawberry Matcha! I was pleasantly surprised with the food. Look at how empty my bowl was! 🥰 The Mentaiko Mac & Cheese was suuuuuuper cheesy and the salmon bits were just nice. Portion wise, this is definitely worth your money. However, imo there were too little broccoli haha! Would be nice if there were more broccoli bits in the dish! Other than that the matcha tastes good, albeit grainy. Environment was clean and cost, staff were really welcoming and polite, and service was really good! Thank you Refuel 👍
