THIS GUY Cafe & Bakery 澳式早午餐

This Guy cafe has great food, coffee, service and aesthetic decor. I had the pulled pork Benedict and egg tart, it was fantastic. I typically despise English muffins as they are typically stale, however the muffin that came w this Benedict was crispy and flavorful. The service was top notch. Very attentive and friendly. The cherry on top is their interior design and decor. It seems each bit of the space was hand picked and perhaps some finishes even handmade. The small details on the tile selection etc were all unique. Highly enjoyed my visit to This Guy cafe.

So happy to have finally found this gem! I’m born and raised in Melbourne, and I’ve been feeling quite home sick lately. But this place hits the spot! The food, vibe and pastries taste just like home! We ordered the shakshuka and soft shell crab scramble. Everything was on point; the flavours, aesthetics, ingredients and quality. Thank you to the team and their dedication to bring Melbourne to Taichung. We are definitely coming back! We give this place a 10/10! P.S maybe decaf and almond milk?

Love this place! My husband and I arrived during a rain storm and the staff were kind enough to take our scooter rain jackets and store them out of the rain for us. The interior design of this cafe is extremely cute and legit contemporary Aussie style. Love that they had an oat milk option for the coffee. We’re vegan, and though they don’t have any vegan options on the menu, the chef was kind enough to slightly amend a salad (remove the egg) and the avocado toast (remove the goats cheese) to make it suitable for us to eat. We absolutely appreciated the effort! 💚🌱 We had the fries without aioli and they were still really yummy, too. They also have quite a few vegetarian options if you eat eggs and dairy.

Amazing hand-crafted food! If you want legitimate brunch food this is the place to go. Best pastry/croissant I've had in Taiwan so far. The servers were very friendly and kind. The new space is very open and chill with lots of natural light. Ahh I wish there was a brunch place like this in Tainan!

They can do vegan food! It's amazing! So tasty and crunchy. I got a custom breakfast. Really pleased :) They also speak English and can warn you what is not vegan if you check with them & the menu
