Every time I visit Ha Noi, I visit Tranquil. I LOVE everything here, except one thing… The atmosphere and the ambience are GREAT outside seating area and it’s so comfortable, but the smell of cigarettes cancels it all when people smoke ;( To keep this place comfortable for everyone, I’d like this cafe to be smoke-free… :( I don’t usually leave comments, but it’s such a shame that one small thing ruins a GREAT CAFE so I’m leaving this hoping there will be a change!! Thank you, Tranquil!
Extremely disappointed regarding the high reviews (I think many 5 stars might be totally bought to minimize the 1s). Spaces are small and completely packed. The air is completely unbreathable even in chill November. Very thick high CO2 get dizzy air. Huge lake of ventilation for this kind of occupancy. They really need to fan blast the place continuously, which they don't or set a professional ventilation system. In the main room, it smells like feet and sweat and it completely kills the cosy vibe. My table was shaky and super sticky. You cannot use a mice on that unless you want your hand to be in contact with the filth. The waitress just quickly swipe her wet rag on it but it was still full of sticky shiny liquid substances I tried yo clean myself. Water is served warm in tiny glasses. When wou drink a salty coffee, you want a big iced glass of water. ABC. The coffee was good tho. I couldn't really enjoyed it. I thought I could at least spend a hour there. I left right away after maybe 10 minutes. My head started to feel heavy. That's what happens when you let dozens of people intoxicating themselves with their own CO2. So unless the shop seriously rethinks its ventilation system I would not recommend anyone to stay there more than 10 min unless they want to drastically lower their productivity and brain functions by depleting their blood from oxygen.
