I actually stumbled upon this quaint little tea house quite by chance. I had some time to spare before picking my wife up from the therapist, and stepped into this place for a cuppa. As luck would have it, I found a gem of a place for Chinese teas. Well. I'm no connoisseur of tea, but the one the young lad recommended me had a very smooth and pleasant taste, with hints of earl grey and a residual sweetness at the back of my mouth after awhile. It paired perfectly with my Char Siew Pau too! I loved the ambience of this little tea house, which had a Huge selection and collection of teas and all things tea... What I really liked about this place was how enthusiastic the young lad who served me was. He was ready to entertain my queries and he knew his stuff (or should I say teas?). Well I came back with my wife this evening after dinner nearby, and this time, we were greeted by a very nice lady-owner, Gladys, who patiently ran through some of the nuances of Chinese Teas with me, and recommended a nice one to my wife, who does drink tea by the way. Like the man said in the movies, I'll Be Back😉

High quality teas, great tea etiquette instruction. I would highly recommend one of the workshops. I was never a tea drinker before the workshop and now im having three cups a day of white tea. Even if you are a tea drinker I highly recommend as I learned not all teas are actually teas. You might not actually be drinking tea... ;-)

We discovered this tea house offering tea appreciation workshops and booked one just a day in advance. It turned out to be a thoroughly pleasant and informative experience. The workshop conductor, Ian, guided us through the history and introduction of various teas, sharing his knowledge in a warm and engaging manner. He then introduced us to the ritual of kungfu tea-making, followed by a hands-on session where we had the opportunity to try it ourselves. To make the experience even more special, Ian kindly gifted us prosperity buns as we were celebrating a birthday, and we spent some time chatting and enjoying the tea together. Overall, it was a thoughtful, enriching, and memorable experience that we would highly recommend.

My wife and I went for the tea appreciation workshop and we were attended by Ian, the founder's son. He was extremely delightful, knowledgeable and articulate. We've learned so much about tea, it's history, the different types and also many other random fun facts too. After all the learning you get to try the different types of tea through what is called "Kungfu tea", basically a social activity to brew and drink tea. It was super fun and the teas were delicious. We also ordered the red bean pancake which was fantastic too. Overall I highly recommend the workshop for friends and family to come down and learn and appreciate more about tea. Or for tea drinkers or people who want to try new teas it's a fantastic place to just chill and drink some tea.

My friend and I had a wonderful tea appreciation workshop (with Dim sum) with Ian at Yixing Xuan Teahouse, an authentic Chinese teahouse located in Tanjong Pagar. We were truly impressed by Ian’s friendliness, patience, and deep knowledge of tea. During the session, we learned about the history of tea, the differences between white, green, black, oolong, and pu’er teas, and how to prepare tea using traditional Chinese methods. The experience was both educational and relaxing. This family-run teahouse offers a wide variety of teas, each thoughtfully curated. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, making it a perfect place to slow down and enjoy a meaningful tea experience. I would highly recommend Yixing Xuan Teahouse to anyone who is interested in learning more about tea, or simply looking for a cozy place to catch up with friends over a good cup of tea. A lovely place to relax and unwind. 🍵
